Just priced out the kits. Spend the 100.00 or so extra and get it professionally done. Otherwise youll hate the way it comes out if there are bubbles and you have no experience.

I agree, if you have never installed window tint, you'll likely be disappointed in the result. I attempted tint install on a Jeep Wrangler, all flat glass. Within a couple of months, dreaded "bubbles" appeared. Took Jeep to a professional installer and watched his install technique. Night and day. His install lasted 10 years. LOL

 

Pre-cut still requires heat-shrinking to conform to a curved surface.

 

The tint shop I deal with uses pre-cut tint....they program the year, make, model into their computer and boom! But then again, the know how to install it, which is what I pay them for.

 

Anyone put tint on their Highlander Moon Roof?

 

+1 with professional installation. Not to mention dust getting caught inside the film besides air bubbles.

Not sure in your region, but if you use their film with professional installation, the film and work should carry lifetime warranty. I use 3M Crystalline and Color Stable films.

I'll have to ask around. We live in Central America and nearly all the cars have tint on all the windows. Better get out my Google translate, I guess.
