previa. non super charged vs super charged.

hi,

is there a big difference in
1. mpg,
2. parts,
3. maintenance cost,
4. gas octane?

i want to get a super charge but i dont know if it is worth paying 4500 for a 135000 miles.
for question 3. maintenance cost,

they said the engine goes up to 250 000

what about transmission?

super charger?
differnetial?

is it worth paying for.

on the other hand i can get a 1992 le non supercharge for 2500 with 30 miles on a rebuilt engine?

please advice

thanks

I looked for quite a while to find a previa without the sc for 2 reasons:

1. Milegae is affected and premium fuel cost more, the van was purchased for a long holiday vehicle.
2. Repair costs for the sc I was told is about as much as an engine rebuild, I am not sure if that is true , but if you needed the horsepower why buy a sc previa and not a 6 cyl something else?

thanks. i just bought a 92 .
oh men. compression is good but still have to spend a extra 500 to get it running right. kinda feel bad that i did not just spend more for a better one, but out here they don thave too many dual soon roof under 2 000. LA family needs vans.

i looked at your site. cool trip.

its good to know that people are actually using their previa for road trips.

take care.

Congrats on your van. $500 in repairs isn't alot considering what you paid for it. That's still a steal!! Most 1991s are going for more than that. Heck, you could've bought the S/C for 4500 and had more than that in repairs around the corner. You made a good decision. Also, while the S/C is also a good van, the points that Ken made about the S/C are worth considering.
