Best car I ever owned. 227 thousand miles. Not a single problem.
total loss due to a teen running a red light.
She got out and said, "sorry was paying attention to the snow more than the light"./
I screamed inside, you mean SORRY YOU WERE UPDATING YOUR FB STATUS instead of seeing the light..my 2 yo crying in the back, but alive.

TOTAL LOSS, Usaa sent me a 3400 check. Just got a 2010.
Great car.
BAD sales experience.:disappoin
Noob to the forums./

As the others have said sorry for the car but glad you and your young child are OK. I am sure that it is a testament to the fact that the gen 3/3.5 were built like a tank that you survived without injury.
Over the years several of my friends have lost their gen 3/3.5 to crashes and none of them were ever injured.
I have become a defensive driver as it seems a lot of drivers are not paying attention to what the hell they are doing behind the wheel.

yeah .freakin nightmare. They got the car, and my downpayment, and loan money. Can't do SH$% till I get that back. Been a week and getting nervous. Looking at private party, Craigs etc.
Matrix..? Got some kids coming and need a little more space although I love the corollas. Commute 60 a day so mileage priority too.

Glad you and your child are ok. I was also in an accident recently in my Gen 4.5 camry. Lucky I made it out alive. The cabin held up really well despite the outside being destroyed. This is a very tough vehicle, that is for sure. (see R.I.P. 2001 camry thread)

Insurance companies usually screw the victim, especially with high mileage... 220,000 miles didn't count to bad count as high mileage,, ours with 400,000 miles definitely got us screwed...
doesn't matter if your a victim or not insurance companies get away with screwing people.. payments now,,, still doesn't seem right... but as long as you are happy...
