Have a 2013 Highlander, Had to change battery last winter. after the battery change anytime the temperature is below 45F the radio/CD will not work. Phone will connect through Bluetooth but nothing comes out the speakers. Back up camera still works. Once the interior warms up the radio will work. Dealer has not been able to diagnose, I think they leave it in the bay overnight so it never gets cold enough.

Thanks for the reply was hoping for a bad relay that could be easily replaced. So the installation of a new battery exposed the cold joint? Not sure how that did it but do know a cold joint can pop up at anytime during an electronic components life.

There are different sound systems used. You haven't supplied any detail nor a signature to even guess at what might or where it might be. The dealer with hands on can and should detect more as he can see it etc. Not much can be trouble shoot form a keyboard as it is. A dealer has the upper hand otherwise maybe a different dealer needs to be consulted as to what maybe wrong.

Interesting enough I have the reverse of this issue in my 2012 Highlander. When it gets hot the radio will not work. Example: it sits overnight and will work like a charm in the morning but when I go to leave work in the afternoon now that it's the summer it will not turn on my Bluetooth will connect but I can't hear anyone either.
