Just out of curiousity, has anyone else experienced intermittent operation of the rain sensing wipers? We had a '16 Rav4 with this feature and they worked flawlessly. With the Venza ('21), they seem to have a mind of their own. I can have them kick in with two drops of rain on the windshield or be patiently waiting for them to operate with the windshield totally covered in rain and almost impossible to see out of. Adjusting the sensitivity control sometimes will kick them in but I find myself having to bypass the auto setting to clear the windshield. I had the car in for the two recalls and asked them to check the system out but all they could come up with was the sensor is in a slightly different position than in the Rav4 and that could be the reason they don't work as well. I say that's a crock since where ever the sensor is, it is positioned somewhere within the windshield and subject to being hit with raindrops.

I just traded in my 2020 Rav 4 for a 2021 Venza. The Rav 4 rain sensing wipers were odd - 2 drops they went on, lots of rain and they were still thinking about it. It hasn't rained since I got my Venza. I hope it works better than my Fav!

First car I've owned with rain sensing wipers. I've been learning to trust leaving it in "auto" -- I've been wary of it activating unnecessarily against a dry windshield.
