2023 camry rear driver side tire cupping on inside.. rotated tires every 5,000 miles and it always same tire.. whats up with this.. spent $40,000 on a new car this should not be happening

 

The rear suspension on both the 8th gen Camry and 5th gen Rav4 has an issue--they can get too much negative camber and wear the inside edge of the rear tires. The rear camber cannot be adjusted. You either need to replace the control arm with a new OEM part and hope it corrects the amount of negative camber or buy one of the several brands of adjustable aftermarket control arms.

 

It does have a Camry adjustment! It has a cam-style bolt to adjust it towards the lift point. Found it on the 5th gen rav 4 forum.

 

See my post #3. That adjustment bolt on the rear suspension of the 5th gen RAV4 and 8th gen Camry will NOT prevent wear and cupping on the inside edge of the rear tires. You need adjustable control arms to really fix the issue.
