Got this from Camryman.org... Anyone know anything else about this? Price? webpage link? Looks like it might be promissing for all us I4 owners!

Should be avalable by january

Just to let you guys know I"m Will, Ripp is working with my camry as we speak and i'll be home next week, to pick it up.
Before you do anything with you car shaun just wait and see how the dyno turns out.

 it actally looks like a massive turbo... interesting.. but ya it is belt driven so... hopefully they will make it look a bit nicer, but if it ends up making power, I will be very interested into getting one :p
centrifugal SC.. you're prolly used to seeing roots-type blowers like the trd supercharger for the 1mz :)

one of the guys working on development posts on teamsc3's forums too...

That s/c is just a mock up, it doesn't actually work. Ross was just tying to put something together before he finalized the parts. The kit will retail between 3 and 4 grand and should add close to 100 hp at the wheels. All issues like fuel and timing will be addressed before the kit hits the market. It will come with everything you need to put it in and tune in. A dyno tuned fuel chart will be added so you don't have to use time on the dyno to get it running right.

']['R][) camry...do you have any specs on this S/C for the I4? Like HP, torque, price, mods that need to be done to fit properly? etc. e-mail me when you get your car back with any pics or info you may have on this S/C? rpj1984@bellsouth.net thanks

how can this supercharger add 100 horses to the wheels a stock camry barely puts out 100hp to the wheels wont stuff break? this doesnt sound right to me.................
just because the stock engine doesnt put out that much power doesnt mean you cant double, even triple it. its a matter of how much air & gas get in the engine at one time. the s/c compresses the air which, the ECU recognizes and compensates w/ more fuel MEANING... more power.

you cant just add power to one part of the engine either, you have to build up the transmission. once everything is capable of holding more power, then its fine.

I am trying to go with the s/c for my car because it is more tunable and controlable.

I like the S/C option finally

Yes i was wondering if anyone would ever try that i like the fact that its not a roots type much easier and capable of tuning. However roots type blowers do seem to be much more reliable. I reall am interested to see the diff between hp numbers between the s/c and turbo kit..... should be interesting. I still really do not see the purpose in all actuality i mean think about that kit is 3-4 grand holy s*** and the turbo kit is only about 2500 but doesnt put up the hp to dollar ration in my opinion. Now if i were to buy the s/c will it come with the new fuel system parts ie; injectors fuel pump etc.. then it would prolly be worth it however if not your lookin at another 1000 for the god awfull 5sfe. If i had that kind of money i would def go at the 3sgte swap as i did... just seems like a better option but the sc is cool and good luck with it... let me know the progress. im dyin to see the dyno charts and it does look nasty under the hood of a cam.

HA!!!! http://www.board.mr2faq.com/showthr...d.php?s=acc0486b8b8ebdd2abee5868d9073591&threadid=48470&perpage=10&pagenumber=1
Sorry that slipped out.

And as for the supercharger....its cool and im glad someone actually put a supercharger out there, but  ...id go with the turbocharger. Why spend 4 grand to ruin your stock engine, when you could buy the (still expensive but cheaper) 2.5 grand burien turbo kit and intelligently use the rest to build the internals and have a killer 2.2L turbo engine. And my opinion is that a turbocharger is more versatile than a supercharger....centrifugal or roots.

Just my 2 cents.

Fuck, im broke now!!!! :(

im not going to be picky. if the s/c kit gets made for 3vz and a t/c kit never exists, im sure as hell not going to complain. right now im going to stick with whats planned. a turbo is more efficient in its use of energy, but the s/c gives you a reliable amount of boost at any certain rpm.

in conclusion, for you 5s guys- it is easier for you to do a 3sgte swap than the v6 cam owners (for a few reasons). go with what your heart desires :) haha
