I have 18K on my rugged trails. I have been rotating them every 6,000 miles. They still have a lot left on them. How many miles are these tires good for? My last truck had street tires and I would get 50K out of them.

I have 61,430K on mine a 2004 Taco TRD,rotated once at 32K. Will replace as sonn as Michelins new LTX AT2 tire becomes available check them out at Tirerack.com.,I cant wait for them they look like a very good AT tire for mostly onroad drivers who want good wear and comfort from an AT, and its a Michelin tire. I have no complaints with the Rugged Trails youll get 60-65K miles easy.

i've got 32000 on mine, rotated every 5,000 miles, with one new tire due to nail in the sidewall, but all the others still look good.

I had those on my 2004 Tacoma....they wore great until about 20,000 miles and then the tread just seemed to melt off of them (and I rotated and balanced them every 5,000 miles).

I replaced them at 34,000 miles when one of them blew out, but I should have it done it closer to 28,000 miles. When they start to wear down they become really unsafe on any type of wet pavement and will slip & hydro-plain VERY easily. By the time they had 25,000 miles on them I started to hate driving in any sort of wet situation because they just would not grip anything (pavement or dirt).

Over-all I was not impressed with those tires at all and will never get another set of those.:thumbdown

Just look at the tire survey results on Tire Rack: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=BFGoodrich&tireModel=Rugged+Trail+T%2FA&partnum=67TR6RUGTTA&vehicleSearch=true&fromCompare1=yes&place=2&speed_rating=S&speed_rating=T&speed_rating=U&speed_rating=H&speed_rating=V&speed_rating=Z&speed_rating=W&speed_rating=Y&minSpeedRating=S#Survey
Some people have had them last a while, but most have not had them last very long and rated them as "Would not buy again".

just replaced mine with goodyear wrangler silent armors, at 22k miles. i could have gotten maybe 3k more outta them, but they were so far outta round, even after rotating them every 5k, that i said hell with them. balancing at the dealership couldnt help them at all.

Some of you guys got blow outs with low mileage, sure you had the right air pressure?I keep mine at about 32-32.5pds. cold. Even with 61K they dont seem to hydroplane, but I also dont drive the truck like a 2 seat High performance sports car, these tires serve the purpose as to what OEM manufactorers are looking for ride comfort, low noise, light weight(MPGS),low rolling resistance(MPGS),and somewhat offroady look for TRD models, they dont do any one thing great but all around not too bad, theres alot worse than Rugged Trails,Bridgestone H/T,and those Duncraps that are OEM on some Toyota Trucks/SUVs come to mind. Cant wait to get the new Michelin LTX AT2 on my truck this looks like a great tire,Canadian Car and Driver Mag. did a review on them and called them quite impressive tires, checked out the specs. and thier a perfect tire for my needs, except theyre not fully available just yet, these should be the eqaul or not better of what REVOS are,do a Google search of Michelin LTX AT2 Light Truck tires and youll find that Canadian Car&Driver write up its a good read.
