Hello All,

I have a 2006 Tacoma Sport and need to drill two holes into my rear bumper. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations as to what to use to treat/paint the newly exposed metal so that no rust comes creeping along later. I will be running stainless steel screws through them after treatment. Any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated!

I drilled 2 holes in my chrome bumper for the lower license plate mounts. I sprayed the back of the bumper (near the holes) with black rustoleum. Then I sprayed some on a piece of cardboard and used a q-tip to put paint inside the holes and around the outside on the front of the bumper. Did it over a year ago and still no rust.
