Had nitrogen conversion, wheel balance, and rotate tires performed at Costo and noticed marks on 2 of the wheels.

Is this scatched or adhesive from wheel balance that might have been removed?

Meaning it wasn't rotating when it happened, which would be more of a directional abrasion.
Take some 2000 grit wet n dry paper to it and it'll probably clean up pretty well.
Thanks! Costco employee suggest to file a claim. Manager informed wheel weight is on the inside vs outside. Since the issue exist for only 2 wheels, speculation is that tech might have done it incorrectly as first 2 wheels and realized the error. There are cameras and hopefully Costco can idenfified.

Zooming in on the picture it looks like someone tried to fill the scratches with some touch up paint. Is that the case hare or does it just look that way?

This may end up being a lesson learned the hard way. Hopefully not. I have learned to do a walk around inspection of my vehicle each time I get it back from a dealership or some place like Costco. That way if there is an issue it’s brought up immediately and not days later which is much easier to dismiss on their end.

Good luck

Thanks and you made a good point about touch up paint. Honestly, I think the tech messed up and hopefully they have video.
