Seeing map and music at the same time.

I picked up our new Grand Highlander Hybrid Limited last night.
One thing that I couldn't figure out is can you see the map (or Waze) and also what music is playing?
It seems like we could see one or the other but not both at the same time.
Is this possible?
I'm also new to CarPlay.

A different type of solution: Your Grand Highlander Limited should have Toyota's 12.3" configurable instrument cluster as well as the 12.3" infotainment display.

You can customize your instrument cluster- and one of the options that you have is to have your current radio station/music source displayed in one of the three configurable areas of the instrument cluster. Then you can have your navigation displayed on the 12.3" infotainment display.

That's what I have with my 2023 Highlander Platinum that has the same dual 12.3" displays. I have my instrument cluster display music on the left, radar cruise in the middle, and navigation on the right. My infotainment display generally has either the Toyota navigation system displayed or Google Maps- depending on which I prefer given where I'm going.

On Platinum trims, you can also use the instrument cluster settings menu to program what you want to have displayed on the heads-up display- and one of the choices is music station/song.

Yeah thanks 98Camry. I sat through a few 15min+ YouTube videos and learned a little.
My friend with an X5 says that's what she does; shows the music on the instrument panel and the map on the screen. Doesn't help the passenger see both but does work.
But as I scroll through the view options on the instrument panel but the left and right side change together.
So in order to see the music on the left I am stuck staring at the tire pressure on the right.
Can I change what's displayed on the left side and right side on the instrument panel separately?
