Just paid the deposid for a Camry SE-upgrade 2022.

Wondering how long time can i receive the car.

The dealer told me it may take 3 to 4 months.

Could anyone share their waiting period, please?

Pleasure!

Has this changed? 2/18/23 dealer called me with a real VIN# (no C) that was to be built mid March, due to arrive by mid April. I was on the top of their upcoming list which came within a week of me talking to them. 23 XSE res blue black interior with heated wheel. Exactly how I hoped. Also coming with a/w mats, edge guard, mud flaps l, and 1st aid. Thankfully nothing more.

Saw a 2022 Camry XSE V6 on a local lot this past week... immediately stopped and inquired about it (it was sold). The dealer told me that it was a 3-6 month wait to order a Camry... with no guarantee if it would end up being a 2022 model or if pricing or paperwork would have to be changed in the event that that it was delayed for a 2023 model. The dealer indicated that they have not gotten any word yet if the 2023 model would be largely the same as the 2022 or if it would be a generational change... but my guess is that they would say that even if they did know. Toyota has traditionally been pretty tight lipped about generational changes and dealers have too... until official information is released or spy shots are taken and published by outsiders. Other than the 2012-2017 generation... Toyota has traditionally stuck with a five year lifespan for Camry generations. The whole pandemic and chip shortage might have thrown a wrench in that plan- so Toyota might push it to six years again... mainly because they are selling pretty much everything that can produce... so it might make financial sense to push it to six years rather than the typical five.

My local dealer is the largest Toyota dealer in my state... they had three Camrys on the lot- all of them were already sold. They did have a few transit/incoming or whatever they call it... some of which were already spoken for. The salesman I talked to said that they had maybe six or eight 'in transit' that were still available... no V6s though. They were a mix of different trim levels- but all were either hybrid or the base engine.

It's only gonna get more waiting time....

TMMK is back at part shortage status. Plant 2 (Camry & RAV4 hybrid) and Plant 3 (Lexus).

Plant 1 still running which is good for XSE, AWD, TRD orders.

Sorry gang.

I've just ordered the hybrid LE a week ago (with the upgraded auto-dimming Homelink mirror and block heater, which we need in Canada). Salesperson told me he'd expect 6 months for delivery. But when I spoke to the finance person about my loan approval, he said, "See you in a couple of months!" Apparently he was getting that indication from the Toyota financial services head office.

So, any guesses as to which one is closer? 😆

Snagged a cancelled preorder at the end of December for a V6 XSE. The preorder was already 2 months old at that time with the factory build date set for January. The car finally arrived last week and I have an appointment for accessories to be installed on Monday. So ~7 months total wait time.

I was looking for a brand new 2022 Avalon Limited model since the middle of April. I wanted the Supersonic Red exterior with the cognac interior color combination. I was able to find this vehicle on April 29th and I immediately put a deposit on it and I grabbed it. My Avalon Limited was built on April 20th and it arrived at the Toyota dealership on Friday, May 6th. I’m waiting to get delivery of the vehicle as soon as the dealership gets the underneath of the right lower front bumper repaired from road rash damage that occurred sometime during transport to the dealership. I’m also waiting for the dealership to get my vehicle insured, registered and to get the plates for it. I found out that there are only 3 Avalon Limited vehicles that are currently available in the Supersonic Red exterior with the cognac interior in the entire country (mine is 1 of the 3). I was very lucky to be able to get a very rare Toyota Avalon Limited model. I even got a $1,000 Toyota rebate on the MSRP price and I was even able trade in my 2019 Mercedes Benz and to get the Toyota dealership to pay off my Mercedes Benz lease. I killed 2 birds with 1 stone with my Avalon Limited purchase.

The wait time for my 2022 Avalon Limited was only 7 days. I put the $1,000 deposit down on April 29th while the vehicle was in transit to the dealership. The vehicle arrived at the dealership on May 6th. I should be getting delivery sometime next week after the dealership gets the bottom front right bumper repaired at the body shop from road rash that happened sometime during transit when loading and unloading the vehicle on and off the car carrier while the car was being transported to the dealership from the factory. The 7-day waiting period from the day that I gave the deposit until the vehicle was delivered to the dealership is what I call a very fast delivery.
