I’m replacing the shift linkages (cable assembly’s) on a friends 95 1.6 Corolla 5spd and I’m having trouble finding the cables for sale online (rockauto, autozone, Toyota etc.) What website/where do you guys go to find parts like that?

Did you check with your local Toyota dealership to see if shift cables were still available as new OEM replacements?
Otherwise, I would check www.car-part.com and look for shifter cables at a salvage yard local to you for your car. You may find a good used set this way.

Where’s you gear selector located on the bell housing? In the front, celica may work. On the back side, 8th or 9th gen may work too.
Based on my experience in the auto plant at NUMMI, some parts like the shifter cable remained the same between 8th and 9th gen’s. I’m just not familiar with 7th gen’s.
