I was looking at a few pictures and decided to see what people thought about debadging and smoking the rear lights. Heres a picture as it is now:

Thats dark emerald pearl right? Do you have the model number, color code, or anything else that would let me find the same bottle at a store near me? I've looked at them but none of them actually say the name of the color Toyota used.

I personally like the 3.5 rear. I'd mod the center into a 3.5 and paint that toyo emblem black. But thats just me.
So do I. I was looking on eBay for the longest tim trying to find a Gen3.5 rear center panel, but couldnt find one, and anything I did find had to be painted.

if u like a spoiler...get a spoiler. most auto stores have spray paint to match but applying it correctly can be tricky, ive had quite a bit of experiance painting and store bought spray still give me a challenge.
Hmmm... i've never seen matching spray paint, just touch up paint. I'll have to look there again and see.

I took the badges off (except the T), and removed the pinstripes. It was actually really easy to remove the pinstripes, and it didnt leave any residue either. The badges on the other hand were a different story. I dont have any adhesive remover, so I couldnt get it all off, but I got most of it off. And there were also pin holes that held on the V6 and XLE logo (I thought there werent any clips on the Gen3?)

Anywho, i'll take some pics once my car dries to show you guys.

And what center panel for sale are you talking about?

What kind of paint would you use to smoke the taillights? I've never ben a fan of the entire width being a light, so painting it did cross my mind, but I was thinking that it would look good at all.

I wasnt a huge fan of the smoked taillights either on the gen3, but I just wanted to see what it would look like. I'll do another photoshop later with it debaged and the pinstripes removed and see what it looks like. And should I keep the Toyota logo or get rid of that as well?
