Note the extra grinding I had to do. You may have to do the same, or you might get lucky. Also, check the hardware they sent you. I didn't get the proper stuff shipped to me. They changed the bolt holes on their design, but sent me sliders with the old design with the hardware for the new. Nothing major, just a pain when you have everything laid out ready to go.

So who did you get them from (link please) and what did you have to do to mount them? Drill, grind, relocate etc..

there's nothing to grind or relocate. you will have to drill holes if you bolt them. the frame is VERY tough though and it takes a lot to drill through it. i bolted mine with a few bolts on each side, then said screw it and welded them on.

I used a step bit, and it was actually really easy. I had a buddy help and he just kept hitting the bit with WD-40, went pretty quick. I highly recommend this to anyone drilling their frame.

EDIT: I should add that I was using a pnuematic drill, which prolly helped.

yeah, me too. even with toyota penetrating lubricant, a step bit and ingersol pnuematic drill, it was easier to wheel the welder over and run a bead.

 

I can appreciate that. I just don't think it's as hard as everyone makes it out to be. I was ready for a fight after reading posts on here, and was amazed at the ease of it. With that said, it takes time, there a quite a few holes (at least with my demello's).

 

I had a hard time drilling at first with just stepping up in bit sizes. That turned out to suck, so I bought a greenlee step bit. Drilled through like butter, with nothing more than a 18v dewalt. 1 battery did all 6 holes I needed. No cutting fluid either.
