Snow Plow on a Tacoma

Did a search on the forum but came up short on past posts.

I was thinking of buying a base 2021 Tacoma with the four cylinder engine and putting a home snow plow on for personal use. I would prefer a plow that has full articulation from inside the cab.

Is this a bad idea? Warranty issues? Possible suspension/wear damage? V6 needed?

Some companies do make Tacoma plows - any suggestions about which system to consider?

I currently have a Kubota RTV900 with a plow but it's 17 years old and starting to show it's age. New replacement Kubota would cost almost the same as a base Tacoma but a pick up truck would be much more useful for a lot more things.

Thanks

Not sure about warranty issues but I'm sure plows are added regularly and I've never heard of anyone have warranty issues with wheels, tires, winches and suspension lifts. I think I'd consider getting a Used Tundra thats still under warranty with the V8.
Or at least look for a 2020 Tacoma with the V6. The 4 cylinder is a weak link in the Tacoma even without a snow plow.
I was rather surprised at the review Car & Driver as well as Motor-trend did on the 2021. They gave it a 6.5 out of 10.

I have a snowplow on my 2017 Tacoma V6. I think you would be OK with a light plow on the 4cyl with some ballast (200-300lbs) in the back of the truck. Go slow with plowing and you should be OK for home use. I don't use ballast but always try to have full tank of gas (19x7lbs).

The Snoway 22 7'6 works for me. The 7'6" is recommended as angle still covers trucks path. The 6'8" doesn't. Pricey but have it with down pressure and wireless remote. Installed it myself. Removed chin guard and had to drill 2 holes. Came with electrical harness.

Warranty? Well, you break something plowing, you own it. If they can pin it on plow related activity, again you own it.
