Well that was just a few minutes worth of practice. I think I found the correct wirespeed.

I was actually doing more pulling when I was supposed to be pushing... so for round two im gonna try doing that.

the best advice any welder will tell u. practice practice practice. the more u do it the better ull be. and also doing steady hand exercizes is helpfull if ur willing to waste some time:lol: .

1. balance pennies on the tips of ur fingers on one hand(palm up, or down if ur really good), then hold it for 5 mins.
2. balance a pencil on the side of ur hand and start writing or doodling untill u can hold it for a while then move to a less balanced larger object like a drum stick.

im shakey as shit and still cant weld that good but doing that really did help me to improve believe it or not.

oh and when welding, the steader and smoother the "ticking" sound, the better ur doing.

Much more progress. This looks much better than yesterdays. LOL. I checked inside the pipe and its penetrating so I just need to get it to lay down properly and keep my hand even

Turns out I wasn't using gas all this time. Back to work I go... this time with the gas hooked up properly.

Some weld hit me on the foot and I forgot I was wearing slippers. LOL

Well turns out those welds are without gas.. I opened the welder today and it turns out I never hooked up the gas line. So I wasted some gas. lol.

But hey for gasless welds and mild steel wire thats pretty good...
