Hello folks,

I did the rear spark plugs on my highlander 2008 AWD v6. I did mixed up the number in the maintenance guide between the 1AR-FE & the 2 GR-FE. So instead of torqueing the spark to 13 ft pound i did it to 18 ft pound . Not sure what to do do now. car works fine no misfire or codes. You guys all know how time consuming the rear are., but if you think I have to fix it I can redo it if that might cause any damage on the long run

Thanks in advance

Not sure what you mean by the V8. The 2008 Highlander only came in V6 and I4 engines, so I assume you are talking about the 2GR-FE V6.

Also, the 134 ft pounds is not right...that will sheer off a spark plug. It might be 134 in-lbs (~11 ft-lbs)?

Here are the official Toyota torque specs for each engine:
2GR-FE (V6): 13 ft-lbs
1AR-FE (I4): 18ft-lbs

Honestly, if you torqued to the 18ft-lbs spec, then these numbers are within the range of each other and shouldn't warrant you digging back in to re-torque them. Drive it and don't worry about it. (y)

If you would have messed up for it to be a problem you would have stripped the threads.
Also, If you used genuine Denso or NGK Iridium plugs and not cheap fakes from Fleabay or a ScamAzon 3rd party seller you don't need to worry about them for another 120K Miles ;)

NOTE: When below 20 ft-lbs I convert and use my small in-lbs torque wrench.
