Speaker upgrade -- Need help!

I have 99 Camry with 6 speaker.
I recently replaced the radio with JBL 6 cd changer from a Sequoia/Tundra 86120-08130 and amp 86820-0C010. It works fine with the stock speakers.
I think the amp is a 4 x 40 watts (?)
So, I'm going to upgrade with JBL speakers which has 2 ohm impedance.
6.5" for the door speakers and 6 x 9 for the rear speakers like this:

Question:
1. Will it be okay? I'm afraid the amp can't handle it.
2. Can I use the original speaker wiring?
3. Is there any other amp that will match with this JBL radio without having to do rewiring? Because I think the amp I'm using is for a non JBL system.
Thank you guys!

If your going to replace your stock speakers I HIGHLY recommend kfc-x172. Also dont buy 6x9 speakers, they suck. Just buy some particle board, and make a mount for the 6.25s to fit into the 6x9 spot.

Now as for your amp. If your amp is underpowering your speakers, they will still work. Basically the highs will still be pretty loud but you'll have weak mids.

Hoyota,
I really don't know! As I said it works fine now, all 6 speakers works. The amplifier is a plug and play with the original wiring. So, may be it is not a 4 channel. It already sound better than my stock radio without external amplifier, but I know it can sounds even better with a better speakers. Thanks for your info.

Thanks also to A Ryeno for your recommendation. I will seriously considering it. I'm only afraid that a low impedance will make the amp works too hard and make it stop working. I looked at the original speakers, and it looks like it has 8 ohm impedance. :)confused:)
But I'm not sure because the marking on the speakers already fading, hard to read but it says 15 watts 8 ??

I'm not looking for a "BOOM", just a good quality sound to listen to musics, mostly pop rock and some classics.
I also listen to talk radio. And I will never need to top the volume, may be accidentally.

Any other suggestion ?

Hello, Speaker-Speak!
I’m jumping onboard here, because I have a 1998, Camry 6Cyl. XLE, and my factory speakers are crapped out!
Before Fry’s Electronics moved out my Anaheim, Ca., area, they installed a Kenwood DDX371 monitor w/DVD Display.

I'm including the following info from the Kenwood audio section of my manual, if this would help finding replacement speakers for the front, (6-1/2") and maybe for the rear.(6x9")
••••••
MAXIMUM POWER (Front & Rear) 50 watt x 4.
FULL BANDWIDTH POWER - 22 watt x 4.
SPEAKER IMPEDANCE - 4 - 8.
TONE -
Bass - 100 Hz (+-) 8db
Middle - 1kHz (+-) 8db
Treble - 12.5 kHz (+-) 8db.
When looking for speakers, do I follow these readouts?
Are there any how-to videos?
___
If I can do this myself, without retrofitting, and simply replace the speakers, by hooking up same holes in the door, I'm going to try. I don't think there's any truck to remove the door speaker screens, leave off the speaker grills that came with new speakers. If the wiring from the Kenwood is different than the speaker terminals, that may be a small issue.
Anything in the rear I should know about! It's going to be tight climbing into the trunk, replacing those speakers.
Am I going to deal with the tweeters that are by themselves, or do they tie into the replacement speakers?
Geeze, I know paying someone to do this would be better, (and faster) but I'm really financially strapped.
Thank you for all and any help!

Can you install them yourself? Crutchfield is a great online source.

Yes, I’ve bought from Crutchfield as well, but they are out of stock on huge numbers of head units because of the worldwide chip shortage. You should be ok on the speakers from them though. The rear speakers are installed from the inside, not the trunk, at least the last couple ones I did. (94 Camry, 91 Corolla). Yours may be different. The rears on my 94 Camry were non-standard and seemed to be a Toyota proprietary 3-point mounting bracket system. The aftermarket adapters from Crutchfield AND Amazon did not work, so I ended up using my Dremel cutting wheel and cutting the original OEM mounting bracket off the speaker cage. Then I riveted my new Alpines to the original 3-point bracket with an insulating layer of foam rope to prevent any rattling or vibrational noise. (See pictures). They may have changed this by 98 tho. I went with Alpine speakers (all 4 corners), an alpine mini-brick amp tucked behind the 1/2 depth Kenwood HU. I also later added a Crutchfield Sound Ordanance powered amp bass subwoofer. I gotta tell ya, it’s prolly the best sound system that I have ever had in a car. It ROCKS!
