Yeah, this is what happens when affeminate men play with trucks. The Car and Driver guys are of the same breed. This comparo is worthless. Buying a truck based on comfort ranks up there with buying a tank for the fuel mileage.

I have yet to see a Frontier owner at a stop light that would look me in the eyes.

Back in March when I was looking for my new truck, I went by the Nissan dealer to test drive a Frontier. I had already test-driven an 07 Tacoma, but just wanted to be sure.
After the Frontier test drive, I pulled back onto the Nissan lot, got out of the Frontier and just walked over to my car and drove away. I even left the door on the Frontier open. The sales guy that had ridden with me was scrambling around trying to offer me a better deal, but I just kept going.
Never looked back.

The Tacoma must have looked terrible after this test after getting sandblasted. Hell the crappy paint on these trucks looks bad from just street driving.

And how can it be 400 lbs less than the Frontier??? I know the comp bed alone can't make that much of a difference. Maybe that frame of the Frontier's adds the weight?

It sounded like they thought the Tacoma was better in each test, except the stereo wasnt as good or something? And their soft lady skin didnt like the seating position?
Yeah, I noticed that tooo.... the Tacoma did better in most of their tests except the 'seating position' and 'cramped' interior.

But the Nissan won because they thought it was comfy. Palease!

Funny thing is, when I was looking at the Tacoma vs. Frontier I had to go back to the Nissan dealership a couple times to sit in the truck to prove to myself I wasn't exagerating how uncomfortable the seats are in that truck. My wife went with me twice to both dealerships and we unanamously decided that the Tacoma was MUCH more comfortable and MUCH more roomy.

First of all, look at how good the Tacoma looks compared to that P.O.S Frontier. It also

beat the Frontier in every catagory including towing, sand, and other test, except

''comfort'' ? notice he said the Nissan was ''squirming'' at the towing test. The Frontier was

worthless in the sand and got the tires stuck. The guy in the Tacoma had his seats all the

way in the front position, of course he was uncomfortable.

The radio in the Nissan looked like crap IMO. My center console looks way better. anyway i had to show this video

because i thought it was>>..:thumbdown:lol::bullshit2 haha thanks for tuning in..

My buddy just bought a loaded Fronty Off-Road. Honestly, its a nice solid truck. Of course what are they thinking with the me-too looks of Frontier,Titan,Armada,Pathfinder,Xterra and that whistling roof-rack? Def like my Tacoma better.

my Taco doesn't feel cramped inside...

it's a freakin limo compared to my old Taco!

HA!
no kidding it was perfect for me at 5'7" and i loved my little regular cab. had a lift on it and all, pretty sweet truck. my buddy wanted to borrow it one day, he's around 6'4". he got in, slid the seat back and said nevermind.

he looked like a grown man riding in a power wheels car.

its funny how in all the performance tests they say the Tacoma performs better, however when they sum it up overall they like the Fromiter.

When 150K miles rolls around, I will pay to see the Frontier start, yetalone hang with a Tacoma

im 6"2 and have size 13.5 feet. and ive never complained about the comfort in the tacoma. imo, the taco isamazingly comfortable. when i test drove the frontier, my first impression was thats one ugly ass truck. but still test drove it anyway. i like the tacoma a lot better. and after almost 30 years of driving toyota, i dont think id switch anytime soon.

I actually liked the styling of the previous gen Frontier but the new one is UGLY! I read a few shootouts before I bought the taco...one in particular pitted the Taco, Frontier, Honda, GMC, etc. against each other. Well the Honda Ridgeline came out on top...Why? Comfort. They take these trucks out to the dessert to beat them up and see which one can handle it and they take the heaviest truck with the least amount of off-road ability because it was the most comfortable. They should have just had soccer moms drive the trucks to the mall and see which one they could park the easiest.

I've always like the Tacoma. I was assigned a brand new Frontier truck for work in 2001->2003. Yes it was comfy, but the engine was crap, interior was cheap, tranny grumbled. I also checked out the new Frontiers, my buddy drives one, the reason it is heavier is b/c it uses the Titan sub-frame. Who cares if the audio is better in the Nissan, I always change out the factory audio within the first year anyways.

The reason the Fronty won over the Taco is b/c 90% of the buyers out there use their trucks in the city to move groceries and take kids to soccer practice; they want comfort. BTW I didn't think the Frontier was anymore roomier. I'm not going to totally bash the recent Nissan engines ... heck I do like the V6 in the Murano.

The Taco has better body design.

me and the wife test drove both a few times . she wanted the fronty, but we could only afford an access cab with 4 wheel drive...we have a child so we had to put a car seat in the jump seats.. the taco was the only one in its class(i believe) other than the dakota, that could hold a rear facing car seat in the jump seats , while 2 adults were still in the front seats. (wife is 5,2) so the tacoma came home .

...but still lost what a gay man's test
 so true, imagine which one would win if the Ridgeline was included in that test

I think it's time to slot the 4.7L V8 into the next Taco (as an option), but keeping the V6 as well.
