I like say this as i found out the Toyota batteries are no longer have a long life span . My previous vehicle was a 2005 Corolla and battery i replaced at year 17!
I have a 2019 Rav4 limited. That i have had about year. When i got the mileage to about 60k the battery became completely dead. I was often doing what your supposed to. as i do run my vehicle alot on highway as i use it for work as a rural mail deliverer.
Anyways after the battery was tested it was proven to be done!
I got a new battery from Toyota Dealership and even they said batteries now if your lucky last 5 years
Seems toyota now is not about reliability any more when it comes to batteries
anyone else have similar situation with this generation of Rav4?
thanks

That's why I buy the cheapest batteries I can find. They're just as good as the OEM ones. I just replaced a battery I bought in 2016 that cost $50 at Walmart back then with one that cost $65 online from Walmart. In the store they wanted $150 for the same battery. You DON'T get what you pay for anymore. With all the recycling, you have to wonder why the price doubles and triples these days.

Not a unique situation to Toyota, all vehicles have a lot more electronics running all the time, depleting batteries and recharging them, especially compared to your 2005 Corolla. I think five years is a good life for most batteries nowadays, and we just plan on buying a new one at Costco every five years or so.

the other reason the battery got toast is i use my vehicle for my job, rural mail delivery, i have like 35 stops on my route and each stop is like a min or less between each other, i was turning off and turning on the vehicle for each stop! as i thought it would save me some gas
now i realized i was just putting more wear on the vehicle afterall.
