That is the old Toyota Logo. It actually reads TOYOTA in Japanese Katakana script.

 

Ah the old Toyota symbol, I'm surprised not many people know this, if you look inside of AE86s and AE92s or many cars made in Japan, you'll find the symbol on some engine parts.

Its like TRD back in the 70s when it was called TOSCO. :wowza:
