HEy I just checked out their site (which has been revamped):http://www.trdusa.com/Default.asp and they have a bunch of new stuff including their first CAI (claimed gains of up to 11HP and 9lb-ft of Tq) for the '03 Matrix and Rolla
And a S/C for the 4.7 litre V8 claiming a 46% HP increase! Jesus H! can somebody say Swap! Seriously someone needs to wedge a S/C'd 4.7 into an AE86!
They have also released a bunch of stuff for the Scion series with more to come! This includes polished 19 inch wheels:cool: for the Phi in all of us:D

What I don't get is why they have a huge slew of good stuff for the Matrix including real mods like a big brake kit, and they have jack-all for the Gen8 Corollas. I mean, it has the same motor except it is a lot heavier and has a bunch more room, so it should be the oposite! Anyway, I guess the demand drives the market...check out the site and comment on the new stuff!
Peace out!

The Corolla does not get the option of the good engine(2zz-ge?) like the Matrix does so therefore it is not thought of as a performance platform and truthfully, it shouldn't be. This means less people will be buying it with the attention of modding it so it is SOL.

TRD USA is sooo disappointing. When will they ever wake up and offer some serious toys. Take away the line up SCs and your left with a pretty bunch of overpriced nothing :disappoin

Even the Scions are so ugly I wouldn't even pimp those 19s :(

ya they are major bastards when it come to prices. When the time comes I'll be putting HKS parts under my hood. Screw TRD with a stick.

I put my TRD CAI in back in May. :) And it was available since Feb. of this year.

And I have the "good engine" that Talisman is talking about in my Matrix. :D
Both 1ZZ and 2ZZ are offered for the Matrix.
Haha smarty pants, that's still new this year!:D See:http://www.trdusa.com/NewParts.asp it's under "new parts" so tell TRD is isn't new:lol: It sure does look purty in your engine bay! I for one am glad that they threw the 2zz-ge into the Matrix becasue they are developing parts for the 1zz-fe because of it. That's the good thing about having an engine that is on a few platforms, I can scavange parts from Matrix's and Celica GTs:lol:

You don't think it looks even a little bit like the Vitz?

roll cage for the echo! when's it ever going to get up to speeds where the cage would do it any good?

i don't mean to flame the echo or its owners, but a roll cage?? maybe after a 3SGTE swap i'd put one in. then again an echo w/ a 3SGTE... that'd be something!
A roll cage isn't only to protect you when you lose control. Like arcasmachineracing said,

Its like a huge-fuggin-strut-bar just for the chassis
it'll help you take corners with more predictability and keep the body form rattling so much. if it wasn't so frigging much money to get one designed and installed and hidden, I'd go get one tomorrow! :D

as i said, "...when's it ever going to get up to speeds where the cage would do it any good?.....maybe after a 3SGTE swap i'd put one in."

that little echo will need more suspenison work before it has a chance to worry about sway (i.e. C/Os, shocks, struts, etc). its a narrow car and close enough up to date with current frame technology that you would need to worry first about getting it up to speeds where those problems might arise. in this case, uping the hp would come first. maybe then a cage might be in order. ;)

well i have a 97 corolla so for me TRD is worthless. All they make is a strutbar and an overpriced spring/strut combo thats the same as Eibachs and KYB's.....oh yeah and some badges and filters:lol:

Man this thing is in the race application section.. It's obviously not a bolt-on that you would slap on a stock car. This is obviously for a track car...A rally echo or something would benifit from it. Besides a stock Echo will go about 110 Mph.. is that not fast enuf for you dude? You try rolling an Echo at 100mph then say a roll cage will not benifit.

where are the ae92 parts

the 92 is in such a large need of a short shifter
You call yourself Boro? Then to get a short shifter, just cut down your stock shifter and you have an instant short shfiter...and I'm not kidding...I was reading before that Toyota did that with the second gen MR2...didn't want to redesign the shifter, so they shortened the shifter stalk.:D
