Unknown connector in 2009 Corolla

Let me start by saying that my 2009 Corolla seems to be kind of special (ed). None of the wiring has followed any maps I've been able to find online. The only way I can think of explaining it is that it was manufactured AND wired in Japan before being shipped to the US.

Anyway, while putting back the climate control panel I found a blue connector that isn't connected to anything. It's taped to the connector that sends power to the cigarette lighter in the middle console.

Can anyone tell me what it could be?

No, it's not for a cigarette lighter. Mine has it and the connector is white.
I'm thinking it might be for an optional accessory that would've gone next to the security panel. I have 2 empty slots there. But I don't know what they could be.
