I contacted URD a week ago to see if they would consider giving us a group buy on the MAF sensor calibrator. They told me today that a group buy has been set up for one week starting today for a $20 discount.

The code is CAI20 and it needs to be entered at checkout.

 cant tell if your joking though... thats funny.
Not joking, that is probably why the code doesn't work. It may not be the right one, it could be the code for the Cold air intake.

EDIT: It is for the intake. Tried it and it works. $20 OFF, not total. Duh.

Yeah your right. URD emailed me yesterday to tell me what you said and gave me the correct info that gadget just posted.

Just used the code. Thanks reinvent! Hopefully it gets here before the weekend so I can install it.

i've been trying to decide whether the URD MAF calibrator would benefit me. i would be doing this for the Hp increase as well as any mpg increase.

One thing i've noticed about my truck is that the valour exhaust tip is turning black on the lower edge....leading me to think that my truck is running rich in the factory setting. i drive about 60% highway 40% city and average about 20 mpg already....which is pretty good compared to others....if the truck is running rich would i see the Hp increase AND mpg gains with this calibrator?

You get more mileage because the AF ratio is slightly leaner at the top end, wich produces more power. Also when the engine is cold the URD unit takes over so that will help too-

Having an intake or an exhaust won't affect the install itself; it'll just make the pre-loaded settings more likely to need additional tuning than they would on a stock truck. Stock or modified, you should tune it specifically to your truck for optimal results.

There's not really any way or point for URD to pre-load settings for your specific performance add-ons. Every vehicle is different, and those differences are compounded by intakes and exhaust. There's not really any way for URD to preset it for your truck without having your truck to test it.

Even with the stock truck, the pre-loaded settings are much closer to optimum for some trucks than others.

As for how the calibrator is installed, just read through the online instructions. They're pretty in depth and tough to digest (I had to read through them a few times), but it's worth the read.

I installed it about 3 weeks ago and will say the install was pretty straight forward. All you're doing is splicing into a bunch of wire harnesses that connect into the ECU. So far, with the preloaded settings, I believe I'm getting about 1 or 2 more mpg than before, but I cannot say for sure until I fill up my tank again. As far as HP goes, I cannot say if there are any differences yet. The one thing I haven't done yet is retune the calibrator for my specific setup; however, I still need to buy an interface cable in order to do that. I think tuning the MAF Calibrator in order to get optimum performace will probably be the most difficult part of the mod. Everything else so far was cake.

Is there any guarantee that the advertised improvements will actually be seen?
I am wondering, out of the long list of benifits listed on the URD site, what is it that you have concerns that it will not do for you?

If you understand how it works, and how it allows you to retune or optimize the fuel curve for the best possible performance I am not sure how at the same time you are concerned it won't let you do that. Help me understand your question.
