Hi I'm Matt and I want to go to UTI for auto and diesel but I don't know anything about the school or programs. If anyone has gone to a UTI school can u please give me a run down of what it is like. Thanks.

If you want to work on Toyotas, consider the Toyota T-TEN program instead. IMO, UTI costs as much as a real university, and doesn't guarantee better placement. www.t-ten.com

Also other schools to consider would be Wyotech, or Weber State University in Utah.

Ok well money is of no concern with me. The government is paying for my college as I am in the army. I'll look at that Toyota program but the diesel tech is what is catching my eye right now.

Perhaps you can learn the diesel trade while in school? Either way, I would think it's a better investment if you go to a state or local school/college rather than a for profit school like UTI or WT. just google uti vs wyotech and see both the positives and negatives. From my knowledge, UTI does not necessarily help securing a better job over someone who went to a public institution.

Local technical schools or community colleges will offer better deals on courses and frankly, will probably have a better reputation. Try to get somewhere that you can get your autotech degree (two years) while taking core classes to be used towards a BS, and then transfer to a 4 year school to get a full degree in something like engineering.
