Venza Diverse for All? What's Your Age?

When i started looking at the Venza all the articles i read said it was marketed towards the older generation. I however find it well suited for it all ages. I am a 31yr old Male from Albany NY. I own a Ford Explorer as well. I get compliments from all kinds of age demographics about what a sweet looking ride the venza is. Mine is an 09 V6 AWD Black.

What i find best about the Venza is it is a great medium between an suv, cuv, and car. The stance & suspension is sporty like a younger person would like, yet has class and ride quality of a Lexus. The only thing i'd change about mine is the quality of the dash pieces, and also wish for a lil' less road noise. But i contribute the later to the 20" wheels and the good year eagle tires.

What are your thoughts?

Venza is for any demographic that finds the need or interest...... another example: When the Xb was introduced, the older demographics found it affordable, economical to operate and very utiltarian.... totally unpredicted by the marketing folks at Toyota.

The prevailing wisdon is: the Venza was/is trageted towards the young families and boomers...... for similar reasons..... except for the ankle-biters..... unless you consider a golden retriever in the same category:)

We are both over 65 and the Venza was prefered by my wife over my choice of the Avalon because of the ease for her access with knee and hip problems, also height of driving position without looking like an explorer which we sent to the scrap pile.

I am very happy with the Venza.

nhcycle; Is this age item suitable for a poll using age ranges in groups of 15 or 20 years ???

cheers!

I'm 65 and my wife is 64. We had a Honda Pilot which we both loved but I decided I wanted something with better gas mileage, still capable of towing 3500 lbs (we have show cars which we trailer). The Venza was the perfect car for us. Lots of room on the inside, a bit smaller on the outside (not as tall), good ride height, decent gas mileage, and nice to look at. So far we're happy but haven't tried towing with it yet (only had it two weeks).

Not trying to insult anyone here, but I think I'm the youngest Venza owner I've seen in person and on here. I live in SoCal and have been seeing them up pop like crazy. Mostly driven by older women.

Im 26. I don't own the venza yet, 1 more month and I get my hands on a bran spanking new 2010 I4 AWD silver.

Giving my current drive to my dad (after putting it back to stock, with dents) - Lifted Jeep liberty (I got 2.5" lift, 31" AT KO BFGs, Hellas, and insides got Clarion stereo - note Venza stock stereo is louder ...lol). I make heads turn driving that around bigger cities (at first where I live too) ...

I plan to make heads turn with the Venza too!

1-2 years down the road I plan to add sporty rims to her. My friends think I should get spinning rims that glow... ;)

I'm 52, my wife's er... younger, and a 6 year old son (yeah, I know:eek:) I wanted an AWD station wagon (not an SUV) with a few bells and whistles that I could afford. Couldn't afford Audi or BMW, didn't like any other wagons I saw, so I "settled" on the Venza. Still the best bang for the buck.

We are both in our early 50's, empty nesters, and traded an '05 A4 Avant Wagon. WE loved the wagon, but wanted to have more space and to have a higher stance on the road, but not as high as an SUV. WE had a good look at a Q5 and really liked it BUT the price on the road (not as optioned out as the Venza) was $20,000 higher than our loaded V6 AWD Venza (without Nav) which drove equally as well as the Q5. And guess what.....the Venza will be worth as much or more in 4 or 5 years as the Q5 would be. That was our main complaint with the Audi....poor resale.

IMHO you didn't "settle" on the Venza, but got a much better value for your hard earned $$$ ;)

Well I'll be 80 years young this coming August and really like our 2009 Venza V6 , Silver Venza - which has been virtually FLAWLESS since day one. Bought the Venza after having owned 4 Subaru Outbacks in a row - all of which were excellent cars. I wouldn't change much about our Venza and I call it our "Toyo-Tank" in our sometimes nasty New England weather with the MKW 18" winter rims and Hankook winter tires.

Venza 10

mid-40s. I'd think the RAV4 would be aimed at a younger demographic - or at least people who have smaller /fewer kids and no grand children...

My wife and I are in our mid to late 40's. We bought our Venza to replace our '97 Ford Exploder which was scrapped thanks to CFC. It is my wife's main ride but I steal it every so often. :naughty:

I'm 42 but I consider acting your age to be highly overrated. :D

My wife and I are empty nesters, ages 58 and 60, and bought our '09 I4 FWD Blizzard Pearl Venza to replace her ultra reliable '98 Sienna Van. My wife really wanted another Sienna but I convenced her it was time for something a little more upscale and less "soccer mom-ish" but with some "hauling" capability. We never even considered SUVs, to large and inefficient. The Venza met our need perfectly. Plenty of room in the back seat for the grandkids and their car seats. Good size cargo area for picking up stuff from Lowes and Costco. Easy entry and exit seat height. High seating position for better view of the road. Great gas mileage and plenty of power from the I4. Although we have had to get a few minor imperfections fixed, sun visor that would not stay up and excessive gap in console trim, we are very happy with our Venza.

I'm 52, wife's younger. We have 2 kids, 13 & almost 10. The 13 year old is 6'3" and still growing. We have a small resort and have to go 70 miles to the nearest large centre, which we do every 3 weeks or so during the busy season. The Venza gives us the room we need when hauling the kids, but it was important NOT to have a 3rd row, as, with our soon to be retired Villager van, we've become the go to transport for the kids' teams. It's also nice for the solo trips to the city to be able to drop the seats and load up. All this and great gas mileage, too! I think it'll be a great fit for us.

We're early 40's with two kids 6 & 8.

For us, we needed something with more room and more reliability than the Audi A6 I had previously. The Venza certainly isn't in the same class as the Audi, but I am very happy with it thus far. It has just the right amount of room, yet I don't feel like I'm driving a 'family truckster' or 'looser cruiser' as some SUV's/minivans can be referred to as!

Im late 40s, kinda young it seems compared to the other owners, except for a few kiddies in their 30s. My guess is that Venza buyers are a little older because they have a little money in the bank already for a lump sum payment. The financing is relatively expensive at least in Canada, so maybe that discourages younger buyers who don't have lump sum deposits or cheaper lines of credit. There are quite a few Toyota models with zero percent right now and thank god the Venza is not one of them. Thanks to Toyota for not doing the easy thing and giving their cars away, GM style, with huge discounts. By keeping things tight Toyota is protecting our investments and resale value! -- in spite of the incessant negative press for doing the right thing.

I'm 47 and have had my I4 for a little less than a month. Only got to drive it for a week before I had an ACL reconstruction and I finally got back into it on Thursday. Hubby enjoyed it while I've been laid up.

We came out of an Acura MDX. Loved my MDX but couldn't afford the lease payments on a replacement. I also wanted something that would give us hauling room with 2 kids in college, but had better gas mileae than the SUVs. The Venza was a perfect fit for us for now. I'm guessing in 3 years when the lease is up, I'll be moving into an Audi Quattro or something like that, but we're perfect happy right now.

I'm 32. My previous vehicle was a 4th gen 4Runner. Prior to that I had a 1st gen Highlander. For my next one, I'll probably cycle back to the now 5th-gen 4Runner.

My original plan was to get the 2nd gen Highlander or Highlander Hybrid when it first came out, but it just didn't grow on me enough to make me want to move from the 4Runner. By the time I decided to buy something, the Venza was announced.
