Bought this car new in Oct 16, and other than oil changes every scheduled time at dealership and replaced 3 sets of tires. I have not spent 1 dollar on maintenance . Now has 162000 miles on it and rolls and drives like new. Plan on keeping it for 200k then dumping it for something else. Original brakes and all other parts still on it. Heated driver seat just stopped this week. Heavily used 😔😔😔 Very impressed with their engineering of these lil things.
Hope my 2022 4 runner will be just as well trouble free.

If those are interstate miles, no surprise about the brakes and, possibly, the spark plugs have never been changed(?).

Some owners of this same car might have spent thousands on service at their dealer's by now.

Changing the spark plugs on the 4-cylinder is easy and spares the life of the expensive coils.

Replacing the transmission fluid is a good way to help get to that 200k figure.

Seriously, you've never even replaced this car's battery, serpentine belt, wipers or air and fuel filters???

Thx fellas Nope all original fluids plugs and fuel filter they never ever even asked me about that! Hmm might need to think about that. I did replace 2 windshields thx to DC beltway debris. I did put in a set of Michellin cross climate 2 last year 900 bucks they are great. But this car usually drives 175 miles a day from Richmond very northern burbs to DC. Basically I think my lack of maintenance and high mileage will catch up and 200k is a ton of mileage more than I've ever came near. Thinking either lexus es 350 or gx 460 .

200k certainly is high mileage but highway miles are so much easier on the vehicle than city miles. You could find an honest independent mechanic to have them do a once-over on the vehicle and give you a report on what you would need immediately and what could wait. If you are not having transmission issues then I've heard it is best to leave the fluid as is given its age. If I recall, Toyota says coolant should be changed at 10 years/150k miles. Spark plugs are easy.
Many people keep their Toyotas well into the 200s or 300s or so. It's your money and if you want to switch to something else then go for it. But in the condition it is in I'd hold onto it until car prices come back down and/or something major breaks.

Oil changes, tires is all considered maintenance. Didn't do transmission fluid every 60K? Driveshafts supossed to last about 100-120K, spark plugs about 100K. It is all in the technical manual.

Update: Down goes the mighty Toyota Camry in state saftey inspection , Virginia claims another victim.
At 172, 800 miles my brake on left front was not releasing so new cage and pins were needed, changed pads front 3mm were stock and new rotors. So from Oct 2016 till today original brakes were still on. Goodness after I pulled out of service I was very pleased how fast they worked with minimal pressure. Everything else passed and down the road we go 200k in going to get that high mileage decals Toyota offers.
