I agree, the voice command is useless. half the time it can't understand what you're saying, the other half of it gets it wrong. I just say "Ok, Google" and use the voice commands to do all of the functions I need to do through my phone.

 

How does this work, i have ok google active on my phone. Do i need to go something in car settings???

Yeah...Siri, once activated, works fine thru the car audio system...the activation part is a bit if a pain (either depress and hold the HOME button or say HEY SIRI...

 

Siri can be activated by holding down the phone button on the steering wheel. It works quick and easy for me, didn't even know the home button was a way to activate it.

 

Overall voice recognition in my '18 XLE works far better than it did in my '15 XLE. It's miss rate is much lower for both internal and Bluetooth phone commands (Samsung S8 Android).

 

OK...I was pushing the wrong button...I was pushing the voice button...not the hone off-hook button...duhhhhhh

 

Kind of useless??????? I request a specific song with Pandora, it repeats the song, shows the title of the song and then plays a completely different one. It's good though because I like being surprised. LOL

 

Yeah...well color me embarrassed!

Last night I spent some time in the car (engine running and in PARK) and I poked around the menus and tried things like Siri...yep...it works perfectly!
