Look @ everyone;s update threads, although all of our mods don't necessarily have prices attached.

I spent about close to 2.5~3k on my car.

 

$1k - exhaust
$1.7k - conversion
$250 - lights
$250 - grille + painting
$200+ - trim
$800 - wheels to be sold
$1k - tires that have used up all the tread and tossed
$600 - current tires
$300 - mirrors
$560 - new wheels
$600 - current tires
$300+ - interior
$800 - suspension
$400 - UR Braces

And I'm forgetting some things I'ms ure

If I bought a Lexus, I would still be adding everything on from above lol. The current Lexuses do have LED side mirrors and better looking tail lights so those might be dropped from expenses. Also wouldn't have to do any conversions. Gen 6 LE front end is poopoo

 

Did you only do a cometic conversion? I always have wondered how the SE models manage to squeeze out more hp from the same engine as the LE (i4). Is it more aggressive timing?

total ~ 5600 Man, that really makes me sad. My car is nothing special, and I only buy stuff when its a bargain.

springs = 400 installed
coils = 750 installed
Rk lip kit = 2100 imported, painted and installed
SE grille = 240
trunk lip = 80
vibrant muffler = approx 250 imported and installed
Aftermarket head unit = 400
K&N SRI = 360 imported and installed by yours truely

future...dual exhaust upgrade ~800 imported, y pipe created and installed.

total as of the end of this year would be about 7500.


then new rims + audio will bump that way past 11000 once im done with it

....wow.

 

I'd rather not add all my mods up. Don't want to think about it

 

$160ish for an auto-dimming Homelink, compass mirror. Might drop some cash for tinted windows if I can get past my fear of having that done aftermarket. I've had my Camry for just about 2 months.

 

Damn ya' all spent so much money... I spent $0 on mine.

 

Are you just calling these "investments" to help you justify spending money on a depreciating asset?

 

Life is a depreciating asset, but we all spend money on trying not to get old and keel over too fast ya know lol

I bought a SRI from K&N, but the 2.4 model doesn't fit the 2.5 model. Returned, waiting for a revision!
