Do you plan on replacing your Corolla 09 already?
Is there a car you would buy inthe comign years?
What would it be?
Personally I totally loved the Dodge Challenger in black, it has a killer look

I would not say a corolla is below average, nor an STi average. I would not say that a $35k is an average amount spent on a vehicle. Many cannot even get financing for that amount and those that can typically will choose another vehicle, much less maintain, insure and keep fuel in it.

That being said, the only reason I personally bought my 2010 S was to get better gas mileage for my commuter car so it will be around to beat on daily until the wheels fall off. I am hoping the Subaru Forester or Legacy Diesels hit the US soon so I can get another project car. If they don't I will probably buy an old school GC Impreza and do an STi drivetrain swap on it. 400hp golf cart FTW!

I came to the '09 Corolla S after having and disliking a IS250 MT. I liked the car in some aspects (looks nice, decent engine) but the tranny was pretty bad and I found the seats uncomfortable. I didn't get to test drive a manual car because they didn't have any, apparently they're very unpopular.

For me. It's either I get a Subaru STI or a Lexus IS250 MT.

But if not, I'm just keeping my Corolla...

I LOVED my Subaru. I will most definitely own another in the future. I beat the shit out of my 2005 WRX for almost 100k and it just kept on going. 25+ psi, multiple track days and canyon runs, and 90% of its life spent at redline and was still on the original bottom end.

A lot of people count out the WRX, but it is priced not much more than a fully loaded S and is actually quite a potent machine. You are missing a 6mt and brembos, but you can do that relatively easy and inexpensive (I only had about 2k into my entire tranny swap after selling stock parts). I miss that car every day, but it was modded to a point that it wasnt practical to daily drive anymore. 12mpg on alcohol and a 40 mile each way commute is no bueno.

I'll keep my Corolla S as I love the car & I never decrease the fleet. I'll be adding a rechargeable Prius when they are available. I'm also looking for a nice 2003-2005 Celica GTS & a nice used Porsche 911. :smokin:

I don't think I could get rid of my Corolla either, unless... I don't know, I can't think of a reason to... I'll definitely keep my 09 rolla, and if I have a chance for a new and better car...

Level 1. Toyota Ft-86 (Esti 23k)
Level 2. Subaru WRX STi (34k)
Level 3. 2011 BMW M3 Coupe (60k and SO ****ing sexy)

If I could get to level 3, that's good enough for me already... ^^ and my "dream" super car is the Ferrari 599... oh man, can't imaging one day that I could sit in that car... just sitting in there hold the steering wheel for like 10 second... hahahhaha....

hypermilers go longer

I bought the Corolla to fill a specific purpose, which it does very well, better than its competition. Until that purpose changes, I will keep it.

If I wanted a vehicle to transport, or haul/pull something, or to go fast, I would buy the vehicle that I felt would do that purpose best, or within my idea of best for the money of course.

I forgot to mention a c63 with an AMG package would be nice. That would be at least a MBA away.

I love my rolla, plan on keeping it til the wheels fall off. However, cant get much satisfaction out of it performance wise. So about two weeks ago, I picked up an ST165 Celica All-Trac. This car is amazing, and with a few grand, it will be even more fun to drive.

However, I do plan on getting an STi once the rolla is paid off, and since ill be done with college, hopefully i'll have a good enough job to afford it! In the mean time, this All-Trac is gonna be some funnnnnn.

I used to think the same, but after having a RWD is just pure driving to me. I do not know how can I explain it. The FWD in turns it feels that is going out on the opposite side you turn. And when you give it more gas is even more noticeable. My 09 MS3 lost control when I wanted more power in a turn since the wheels just turned but the car was going straight. Had to let go of the gas to regain grip. For a daily driver they are ok. Heck I prefer the RWD over my 2010 Forester stick, and I could swear that had a FWD bias.

I'd buy a 1996 RAV4, or if even possible, my old RAV4 that I gave up.
