What did you pay for your tacoma?

I'm looking to get a new tacoma and I have been calling a few dealers today. The best price I have found so far on for a '05 double cab with the TRD sport kit is $26,378. That is a 4wd 6 speed manual and is before tax and everything but that sounds pretty good. I really want a black one though and that one is white. Do you think I will be able to find a better price any where? I live in Southern Utah btw, so I can go anywhere from Las Vegas to Salt Lake City to find one. Also, what are some options I should look to get? Thanks in advance.

Be lucky that you were even able to find a o5 w/ a 6 speed. I have been looking and have been told by 4 different dealers that there are none in CA that are FS and able to be dealer traded.

Looks like I need to go to UT or wait for the o6 TRD's to come out.
Is the 6 speed any better? I was going to get an automatic but I could probably go for a 6 speed.

I paid 24.1k out the door for my truck in CA with 8.25% sales tax. I think I got an exceptionally good deal considering that people are paying sticker for this truck. The Speedway Blue was a tough color to get at the time (in my region).

I just personally like the manual transmission. I had a 93 SR5 Toy Truck, and loved it. Kids showed up, and POOF, the truck went away.

Quad cabs today are NOT what they used to be. I test drove a TRD that I'd have bought on the spot if they didnt have the dang thing sold already.

I paid 30K (sticker) for my 05 4-door TRD tacoma speedway blue. They told me they couldnt come down any and it was the only one like that in the area. But it was worth every penny. I also hear from a guy that works at toyota that they only mad 4000 speedway blue trucks this year.
damn, what options? That's a whole lot of money.

I paid $24.5K (b4 taxes) 2 months ago here in CA for my Silver Double Cab Prerunner v6 auto TRD Sport #1 including a bed extender and chrome tubes.
This was smack dab between MSRP and invoice.

Import-Tooner, I know you're looking for a 4WD, but I hope this gives you a ballpark. I know that Silver has been a lot easier to find than Speedway Blue, and possibly black. Good luck.

Paid about $3,000 off MSRP on my DCab TRD-OR 4x4 6-disc etc.....

Had to waid 8 weeks for it though, was cheapest I could find by $700, sorry to the guy who paid $30k for you truck if you happy thats all the matters but your Sales Man got employee of the month for that sale. The only thing toyota can sell for MSRP is the Prius because you have to wait a year to get one.

Thanks, yeah it does give me a good ballpark figure of what I should be looking at. Hopefuly I will be able to find the black double cab that I want. I figure if I pay under 27k with the trd sport package, 4x4, black and automatic I will be okay. I test drove both the automatic and the 6 speed yesterday and I think I like the automatic better. Besides, I still have my 6 speed G35 to have fun with. :)

Yeah that is what i was thinking, but the guy told me i couldnt have it for anything less and if i didnt buy it someone else would. Plus it does have everything available, 6 disc changer, generator, tow package, trd offroad package and lots more.
You showed him your cards. Never let the dealer know your are in love with a vehicle. Anybody that pays sticker should walk around with KY in there pocket because they must live to get boned. I would have told the salesman that if he wants to wait for someone else to come along then let it be. He would have let you walk about 10ft and then said maybe we can work something. out. But it your wallet.

Looks like I'm going to be ordering one. The dealer says he can't find one like I want. I don't want to wait 6-8 weeks but I guess it will be okay. And I'll have an '06. Did they change anything?? From what I have read they are the same. But maybe I missed some stuff. Other than the trd sport package, what would you get as options?

I have been on the phone all night w/ dealers in WA state & it seems that there are all kinds of 4x4 Quad Cab short bed 6 speed manuals that are still FS. I have been talking to a great number of dealers, and they are saying that it's looking like they are going to float invoice + ~5oo.oo + TTL. Im from WA, and will be returning here in about 8 months, so I figured that it would be a good time to drop off the TA which seems not to be selling. :sosad:

Not to shabby when you consider that they are fully loaded w/ the air bags, TRD OG, 6 CD...ect... I really dont think that there's too much else in there that they can stuff, it's pretty much it as per the truck. They are all saying about 27,11o.oo + TTL.

Thoughts?
