I got all four new transmission mounts for the 2010 Toyota Matrix from Toyota and decided to put them today. I watched videos all day yesterday to get ready for today. So, i started with the rear mount since it is the most difficult and i managed to get it out without as much trouble as i thought it was gonna be. However once i put the new one back and tried to line up the hole in the mount with the holes on the bracket it was impossible. i had the car jacked up and tried to use scissor jacks separately to lower and raise the transmission from the pan and from the actual transmission and even the engine. I then lowered the car to the floor and tried jacking up the transmission alone. I also tried lining them up by loosening the anchor bolts from the mounts but to no avail. the same thing happened with the passenger transmission mount, it won't line up. I did the front mount, no problem. I called it a nigh after many many hours and will try again on wednesday which is my next day off but i feel like i'm not gonna get anywhere. Every video i watched says to jack it up and down until you get lucky but as you can see in the picture is not just a matter of up and down, the hole in the rear one not only is higher but it seems to be pushed backwards. Here are the pics for reference. Please Help!🙏🙏

Was the original mount identical to the new one? going by that last picture I would loosen all the mounts to get more movement and have everything sitting in a neutral position before tightening/torquing rather than prying the new mount over to get the bolt through and putting stress on all of the mounts.

The transmission will tilt the engine towards the passenger mount. Get a floor jack with a 2x4 to create a flat spot for the transmission to be lifted evenly. All of the mounts need to be loose on the chassis so you can have more movement to align the mount to get the bolts started.

I finally manged to line them up. 🙏
Here's the next thing since I like doing things as good as possible for the long term. For The center screw that goes through the front and driver side mount, does it have to be in the center of the hole? As you can see there's space to the side. I have every bolt loose so If it needs to be perfectly centered the I can try a bit more if it causes less stress on the mounts in the long run. Does it even matter?

Never mind. I was able to finally do it. I'm sure the problem in my case was that I was jacking up the transmission by the back part of it instead of the pan because as soon as I switched to the pan I immediately saw the light at the end of the tunnel. The hole in the rear mount linned up perfectly and after loosening up all the bolts inwas able to get things going slowly but surely. The one 1️⃣ mount that didn't sit perfectly centered was the front one but it ended up much better than on the last picture. The car now feels like it just rolled off the lot. It was incredible. Thanks
...next stop leaky oil gaskets and O-rings. 🙏
