I have the DIY locks on both of mine. I keep my drop-hitch ball mount in one, an extension cord and a tow strap in the other.

Same as everyone else. Some tie down straps and bungee cords. I know they are still there because everytime I go down a rough road I can hear them banging around back there.

I have the fix a flat plug, 2 bottle of brake cleaner and a WD 40 on the large and the small.. I have the red flag for long item extended to the back and a small piece of rope.

Never thought about the hitch mount would fit in the big compartment since mine is a 4 1/2 inch drop. I would just leave it on to keep A$$ hole from tail gating me.

 

The fix-a-flat foam bottle is not supposed to be used on tires with pressure sensors, it could jack them up. I used to keep one if the truck at all times until I read that. I'm at work and in a hurry, otherwise I'd find some evidence to back it up.

 

Roll of medium garbage bags. For what-ever when camping.

jkjk. I keep nothing in there. I used to put tie down straps in there, but they rattled sometimes so I took them out and put them in the storage under the bench seats in my AC.

 

a few zip ties and cheapo tie downs.

 

I Kiteboard and keep my dirty Wetsuit Booties in the large one. Nobody would ever consider stealing those things. I usually leave the small one empty, and aside from the occasional empty water bottle or aluminum can, the two other open compartments in the bed also remain empty.

I leave my tie downs, bungees, rope, bags, fix-a-flat foam bottle, etc under the rear seat (Double Cab). Oh, and I don't have the tire pressure sensors, so the fix-a-flat foam is a good option and has already proven its worth when I ended up getting multiple flats.

 

A couple of Rat Traps so when some a-hole crack head tries to rip me off he might loose some fingers!!

Would have been nice if they got rid of the boxes and made the whole bed wider instead. So much wasted space between bed wall and outer body...

Anyway, what goes in? Muddy socks/gloves, trailer hitch plug, trash, or pack with snow and beer.

 

I used to keep bungee cords in there but now nothing. Stupid cover keeps unlocking itself and falling off. Holding it on with duct tape right now. I really should do the lock mod but I'm too lazy for something so simple right now.

 

I had kept some ratchet straps and jumper cables in there but they got really dirty and the straps got too stiff. Prob the AZ heat and dust will destroy anything in there. Might try wrapping them in garbage bags and see how they hold up.
