With all the talk about the suspension and tailgate stuff I have to ask what your trucks are used for. Do your trucks really feel the burn or is the most your bed has ever seen is a walmat bag? Thanks for all the replys.

in the 7 months i've had it, went up to the snow a few times (fit 7 snowboards in the bed), camping a couple of times, and now that football season is coming up, tailgating for sure.

all the reasons why i bought a truck :D

So far, mine has moved furniture, pulled a 19' boat, hauled lumber, 160 squares of sod, and a few beds full of construction debris. It's not always loaded, but it does get a workout once in a while. Next month, I'm rebuilding my deck, so the bed will be full and will be pulling a trailer full of material...it'll be it's hardest workout yet. I guess we'll see how she does.

being a home owner... my truck sees alot. loads of grave, bark, top soil, sod, irrigation pipe, ladders, loads taller than the roof of my truck to the dump, towing my trailer full of crap, stuff like that. I dont care if the inside of the bed gets scratched to heck as long as the exterior paint stays in tip top shape. If anyone wants to buy me a boat, i'll add that to my list. lol.

BTW- this is an incomplete poll. There are several wheelers here.
Wheelin' wasn't included as an option because thats not what this poll is about. I want to know who uses their truck as a truck, something with a bed made to haul and tow. You can go wheelin' in a jeep wrangler but that doesn't have a bed in the back.

P.S. Not trying to say anything about all those who got a tacoma for wheelin', there is no question it is good at it.

If you are hauling or towing a lot let me know if the suspension is modifed at all. Thanks for all the posts and votes, keep-m-comin.

5000+lb Camper
Jetski
Building materials
Firewood (loaded to the balls)
Camping/hunting crap
Fat Chicks (JK):D

The DAKARS handle it all just fine. Except the fat chicks of course!

She hauls junk, my lawn tractor, crushed stone, a load of snow to build a kicker across a road, cut firewood, bikes, snowboards, skiis, stumps, vacation luggage, moving days, mulch, beer empties, kayaks, and put a tent in it for a good nights sleep. I think a walmart grocery bag has been there. Not bad for a 5ft bed (and extender).

Tow my sled trailer in winter, and tow friend's boats once and a while.

How about gear - bikes, tents, camping stuff, mattress, etc. Mines not a work truck, it's a play truck.
All depends on your gear. As someone that backpacks and goes mountain biking a lot I would consider that stuff in the third catagory down unless your camping includes a pop-up camper or a full bed of gear. Mattress isn't too heavy either. Its all about the amount of weight, I was just trying to use examples in the poll.

anymore pics of how the bikes are tied down

u dont want to know...

this was just a one timer, didnt use the trailer when we picked these up, so just used the bed cleats  yeah i know. thats why i have that extra tie down (green) tied to the rear D rings. I have yet to install D rings in the front corners. It was only a 15 mile drive home, so I figured it was ok.
