Lock button.

 

Need a little more info Gort. Googled around and can’t find any answers. Does pushing it lock it so that someone without the key fob can’t open it? Doesn’t locking it do that?

What does the owner's manual say?

 

Ok, I will make it simple. When you open the rear hatch via key fob or by pushing the button on the hatch it
unlocks all the car doors. By pushing the little pushing the round little button it relocks the car, without the need of the fob or going to one of the front doors to relock it.

 

Doesn't it open the glass hatch?

 

If you are speaking about the oval button to the right of the rear emblem
you are correct.

 

This may help more, when you are raising the rear hatch via the push button on the hatch, if you slid your fingertips to the right you will feel a little round dimple, that is the rear lock switch. Hope this helps.
