yes, u can ride your stock shocks with the AAL.

 

You can...but I wouldn't commend. You are very limited in your downward travel and as such will have a much rougher ride. After I installed my Dakars, I continued to use the stock shocks....bad idea. After 3 months I finally installed longer 5125, and the ride is much softer.
There is a cheap fix you can get, it's a shock stud extended, but I would only recommend for a temp fix.

Your stock shocks are fine. Unless you are just itching to buy some aftermarket shocks.

 

If I install Bilstein 5100s will that be enough? Or would I need a more extended shock?

 

well... the 5100s are the same size as the OEM shocks. so

 

Wheelers. You can use your stock shocks, 5100's are extended length...2".

Be advised the Alcan AAL from Toytec are different than those from Wheelers.

 

5100's come in many different sizes. Check out the BillStein website for more info. When you find the ones you want, pretty much any off-road or auto-parts store can order them.

 

I only see 2 sites that sell them and thats wheelers and toytec. Is there anybody else or just those 2.

Also with an AAL will I need new shocks in the rear? Right now I just have the standard prerunner non bilstein shocks.
