Audio Gurus, do you suggest that i keep my two 15 Audiobahn high excursion series with about 2ft^3 per chamber in a sealed box or go with two Kicker L7 12s in a slot ported box. Will the twelves be deeper and louder over a distance than the 15's...
Nothing, because Audiobahn overrates their stuff.oibone781 said:And the db sensitivity is 95db on the Audiobahn and 87db on the L7s, what relevance does all this have...
JL Audio are pricy but not over ratededdiem67 said:JL is overated, though they build a nice sub, just overated=overpriced.
You opinion doesn't count you drive the cheapest car made...how can I expect you to afford anything JLCorollacrazy42 said::thumbdown overpriced=overrated.... same difference...

JL is overpriced. They make a good product, but it's not competitively priced compared to stuff that is better than JL.
Let's not turn this thread into a My stereo is better than your stereo argument
Easy easy. Let's not bash our fellow TN-ers.sirsaechao said:You opinion doesn't count you drive the cheapest car made...how can I expect you to afford anything JL

Pacific Stereo is pretty shady.. :disappoin It really makes me wonder how they sell their stuff for so cheap... I've personally never bought anything from them, but have considered it. I went to the one down in Woodland Hills (Southern Cali) and some guy quoted me $300 out the door for a 12W6v2... That's quite a deal, but to be honest, I don't trust their inventory... Rumor has it that they sometimes write down your address if you buy a whole system from them so they can go to your house and steal it back... :ugh3:AlpineJLAudio said:to me jl audio is not that expensive i got 2 12s in a box for 270 at pacific stereo brand new!
That's not sayin' much.sirsaechao said:I'm not going to lie but my single 12W7 slammed harder than my 2-12" RF in a bandpass box in my 94 Honda Accord.
It says exactly what I wanted...a single 12 that I can utilize my rear cab stillTakeABao said:That's not sayin' much.![]()

Yeah man, my buddy Kai told me a story about how he knew a grip of people who had it happen to them. You're most definitely right about their prices tho. You got a pair of dub3's for $270...my friend paid $290 (which i thought was a real bargain)... So   on that. I got my old 9807 from them for $180 brand new back in 2003.AlpineJLAudio said:you are right dude pacific is one of the shadiest places ive been to. i always hate to buy but they are the only ones who carry good brands at decent prices. everything ive bought there has worked and still works perfectly but definately will never leave a car there for installation hell NO they suck. the pacific stereo in fremont is the best out of the 3 in the bay. they got good prices and a lot of selection. they are authorized dealers tho according to jl audio and alpine but... the stereo shop u are talking about where they get ure address is Monney Car Audio in Redwood City, the same shit happened to my friend they jacked her radio straight up 1 week later.
