Winter wheels and TPMS programming

Just had Nokian Hakka 9 unstudded mounted on Lexus RX wheels, with new sensors.

So... got into my car...

Go to change wheel and hold OK button and the TPMS light will start blinking

Which then I drove around for a bit... I think once recalibrated, it stopped blinking.

checked the tire pressure monitor, not showing pressure.... then not sure if the next step was necessary, "Set Pressure" and the TPMS light went off.

Drove around some more... which then got to the pressures to show on the screen. Maybe coincidence?

Set Tire pressure is only required if you are changing the default tire pressure set point for some reason, from what I understand.

I would adjust them all to the same pressure and do it again when the tires are cold.

The owner's manual does say to set pressure to initialize the TPMS system after registering ID codes and it's done by the "Set Pressure" function.

You must get serious snow & ice where you live? I heard these are nice tires; I've got away with Altimax and X-Ice (kinda sucks) but I know Hakka's are one of the best out there.

It worked for me. My car 22 XLE. I bought take off 23 LE wheels for my snow tires . Used above Procedure and it worked.
