Hey folks. As many of you were probably affected by the recent snow storm, so was I here in Ohio.
I had about 10" or so fall on my 05' Taco after I arrived at work yesterday. I wanted to start my truck up while I cleaned the snow off of it. The problem is when I started my truck up the wiper blades were already turned on and the heavy snow put a terrible strain on my blades. My left blade arm actually interferes with my right. I can can move it with my hand to adjust, but the slightest resistance can move it back. Is there a way I can adjust and tighting the alignment? The issue lies where the blade arm attaches.

Thanks!

there's a cap at the bottom of the arm.... pull it up and there should be a nut there holding the arm in place. check the nut to see if it's tight, but also take it off completely and check the splines on the wiper arm and the nub it attaches to. With any luck they won't be stripped and all you need to do is just tighten the nut. goodluck and keep us updated

Problem Solved

I did as suggested and check the nut on the arm. The nut was not very tight so I'm pretty sure the movement of the arm to the correct position and then tightning of the nut should solve the problem.

Thanks alot!

BTW, it was a 14mm. :)

i found this also helps i put 2 inch shorter blades on in the winter to help on the strain on the spined shaft.. had the same problem when mine was new in 05 . also the longer blades were gitting beat- on the ends and breaking. Plus i reset them both to sit on the glass not go so far down into the cowl this also helped in the winter and helped on the blades not being tourtued comming up on to the windsheild
