Hello, so our GH has about 800 miles on it and I'm completely disappointed with the Toyota OEM wiper inserts. Despite cleaning them, constant streaking and smearing of the windshield. Just ridiculous nearly brand new. Anyway, wanted to find out if anyone has recommendations on wiper replacements for the car? I was thinking of trying Bosch. We had good luck with them on an Audi we used to own. Does the owner manual tell you what size the blades are?

I used to swear by Bosch Icon wipers (on Amazon). Have used them probably since they came out. Having said that the last set I got were horrible quality. I am hoping I just got a bad batch but I will be following this thread to see what others say.

This is weird- Toyota OEM wiper blades are by far the best blades that I've ever come across from a carmaker. They generally work really well and last a pretty decent amount of time. Most aftermarket ones work well for a few months and then are awful- no matter the brand or price.

Maybe your GHL just got a bad batch. You might want to order a new set of inserts from Toyota- they are pretty cheap- usually about $10-$12 per insert.

DO NOT let a dealership sell you a set of Toyota "SightLine" blades. A lot of dealers pretend that these are OEM blades- and although they are sold through Toyota dealers- they are not the same quality as the ones that come on your car from the factory. The "SightLine" wipers are pretty awful.

Try getting a set of replacement OEM inserts... and see if that makes a difference. Maybe you just got a bad set from the factory.

I actually have to take a our new GH in to have Toyota address the rusting factory trail hitch as well as a gap in the front dash where you see a metal piece underneath the dash. When I do that, I'll go over to parts get a new set of OEM wiper inserts. For that price, it's worth one more shot at OEM. Will be cheaper than putting Bosch's on.

Unless the GH wipers are different (which I assume are the same supplier so I doubt it) than the stock ones on the Corolla are trash and lasted than a year before separating and being about worthless.
