Not sure that I like the look of that. I know alot of people like the look of black rims, but it's just not for me. To each his own I guess.

Now, black rims with a wide polished lip, that looks really good.

But hey, I like the white letters out on my tires also, so what do I know. (except on my Supra)

In my opinion, inner black and gray on the outter, some what like Marc M suggest. All black doesn't look all that great.

 

Dude, that looks sweet. Do they look as good during the day? I imagine you'll have to have the "tire shine" on at all times. But MAN, that looks good.

 

It's strang, I look at the front rim and I kinda like it, but then i look at the back one and I don't. Without the right light I don't think I'd like the black wheels on your X. Post some pics after you're done either way. Hopefully it turns out good.

I like it. I think it looks very clean. Chrome wheels are getting old already. Looks very sporty. If only the SWB was exactly that shade of blue. I would have bought one. Makes the true SWB look too light IMO. You do great work on the computer, keep it up.

I had a wheel that got messed up..cause I had a bunk can of paint..but hey thats ok we got a full spare of same wheel and all so no loss that one just turned into my spare

 

Not bad for using a spray can. Looks pretty good. Now to check it out on the X-R :thumbup:

 

Are you going to do all four at once or just two and see how it looks. will you be able to steel wool it off if you don't like it.

I am doing them all but wont finish them tonight..should be done tomorrow afternoon

 

That wheel looks pretty good! So what kinda prep was there and what kind of paint are you using?

 

cleaned them off good, scrubbed them all down real good with a red sctoch brite pad to scuff it all up..then used the pad again with dish soap to clean off any wax..then dried it off good and everything..painted them with the Dupli color wheel paint in black...then nice coat of clear

 

Have at least two painted yet? Then we can see a side shot.

Hmmm...My opinion..hated the photoshopped wheels, loved the 1st painted wheel that was laying down, didn't care much for the wheel that was standing up. I can't wait to see the actual finished wheels on the truck...
