it's suppose to attach to the side and like slowly let your glovebox come out.. some kind hydrolic thing. iono god i forgot the name of it. my mind is blank right now. haha

but yea. mine's broken off like that too. pretty lame.

if you look inside to the right... there should be like somethin stickin out. thats where the hole on that thing goes into.

Put the top back on and put a screw in it or it will just keep falling off. That is how the dealer ship will fix it. When you change your cabin filter just unhook the bottom.
That's what I came up with years ago. The tabs on the dash don't stay pressed apart enough to hold it, so by putting a screw in with the damper on, you can force the tabs to stay apart...it won't come off again! Then put the glove box back on and attach the damper to the glove box last. The tabs on the glove box are designed much better and will continue to hold it properly as designed. When removing the glove box in the future, just release the damper from the tab on the glove box.

No need to use screw or glue or anything just pop it back into place, feel around with your hand, it's kind of hard to see and there is two spots where it should clip in. Depending on whether or not the little actuator as i call it( or air spring) is collapsed or not. I dinked around with this for a little while while installing my ipod2car adaptor as i wired it through my glove box. I used a piece of electrical tape to hold it in place. It's stayed for 6 months or more and hasn't come off. It will again need to come off if you ever change your cabin filter so i wouldnt start gluing or screwing things in.
