My original Firestones have 23K and don't have much life left. I like taking corners hard :D I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with either Yokohama YK580 or Avid Ascend.
Thanks!

i've used the yk580 (america/discount tire exclusive model) on one of my other vehicles and are awesome! VERY quiet and great traction. what size are you planning to get? make sure the load rating is 100+ for best thread performance on heavier cars like our sienna. i think the yk580 is a 50k tire. i have 24k on the car that has the 580's and they still look brand new!

Qlander, I think they'll be great in the factory size. Should last much longer than the 20 inch size I had. Even though they wore out too early on me, I loved how they felt and how amazingly quiet they were for low profile tires. I can't imagine how quiet they'd be in your factory size.

Yes, it stinks having two cars with poor tire selections

At 500 miles I had Bridgestone pro-rate my OE Bridgestone's on my HL 100% towards the cost of Bridgestone Alenza's in 255. We are now approaching 35,000 and they have been nothing but perfect in all weather conditions, they are hands down the best tire I've ever had on any vehicle. The extra 10mm saved my butt when we first got it from curbing one of the wheels. In addition, they look like they could go another 30k easily.

When it comes time for your HL, you should seriously consider this option.

The bridgestone ecopia 422 are total crap. I had them as my second set after the factory michelins which lasted 54k. The ecopias only lasted 32k before discount tire would no longer rotate them ( so much for 60k ). I then got the Yk580 and have put almost 15k on them and so far so good. They are very quiet and handle great. The ecopias also started to get very noisy after about 20k. I have had my sienna for 3yrs and have accomplished 93k on the clock so I am always looking for tires that will last me longer than a year. For price the yk's are doing good but ill have to see if they last as long as the michelins.

On a side note the ecopias claim better fuel economy thats total crap I got the same mileage at first and then as they wore I got 2 mpg less.
