01 tacoma supercharged lean cond?

I have read most of the posts concerning the P0171 condition. I was wandering if you can get this code afer you install the supercherger? I have installed the new spark plugs and new theristat. Is this caused by the supercharger maxing out the MAF? I have purchesed the FTC from URD and OBII. When scanning I can see the airflow reading at idel is about 0.4. When I look at the the engine diagnostic test it passes all the tests and still has the P0171. I have yet to install the FTC but I was wandering if the FTC stops the MAF from maxing out? I have checked all the clams and have reset the trouble code several times. Can somebody tell if I should just replace the MAF will installing the FTC take care of this problem.

You need to get the URD fuel upgrade to help with the pinging and lean out. It cost about $1k, but from what I hear, it's worth every penny.

Install the FTC and get your AFR dialed in. It isn't so much that your MAF is maxing out as the fuel system isn't supplying enough fuel for the air flow. Did you get the complete kit with the injectors and fuel pump? The stock fuel system just isn't up to the task.

Thanks I found out that I cleaned the wrong part of the MAF. Cleared the code and it lasted two days insted of one day. I will be replacing the MAF soon. some good info for the P0171 problem hope this will help some other people out. links to maf cleaning and OBII trouble shooting.
