Anyone know the engine oil capacity on the new 2.0L corolla hatchback?

After Toyota Care, i'll do my own changes, just figuring out oil I'll need, I drive a lot.
As stated in your owner's manual; 4.86 US quarts (4.6 L) with filter, and 4.5 US quarts (4.3 L) without filter... Mine took 4.55 L (4.8 US quarts) when I drained the oil without changing the filter at 1,000 km (621 miles). I switched to 0W-20 synthetic... Then it took 4.7 liters (4.97 US quarts) for an oil and filter change at 7,000 kms.

Does anyone know why in the world Toyota does not list wipers or engine air filters in the manual? This is silly. For what it's worth, I took a tape measure to the wipers today. Drivers was 27.5 inches, passenger was 14 inches, and rear was 12 inches. Not even sure what to make out of that driver size.

Hey guys, I got a small problem. I bought one of those brake light strobe/flash modules, and tried to wire it into the spoiler stop light.

The stock wiring for that bulb has a [white & black strip] + [ Gray] wires. The strobe model has red wires and black wires.

I connected the white & black strip wire with the module's red wire, and I finished the rest of the 'circuit'. Turned on the car, and even went into reverse/drive, and the spoiler light won't turn on. Since the polarity of the module is marked, I just have trouble with the polarities of the stock wiring. If anyone knows, or somehow got their hands on the service/workshop manual for the car, I'd greatly appreciate!

I just got a 2020 Corolla LE. I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 phone (working beautifully). In order to have scout GPS from the phone to communicate pair with the Corolla monitor, I am told to install the "entune 3.0" Toyota app on my cellphone. I am unable to do so and soon realized that Galaxy S5 is not on the list of phones compatible with entune 3.0. Is there a solution, a software patch that can be installed on the phone to allow the entune 3.0 installation? Should I be spending money on a new phone?

In case anyone was wondering, the strobe module works now following Invader's advice.

Onto my next idea/project: I really want to install a front view camera (I hate smashing my front lip onto a curb, even though the car is at stock height.. imagine the damage to the front bumper when I can finally lower it on some coilovers). Has anyone taken out the headunit in the corolla yet? I'm interested to see how one might hook up a front view camera (possibly using RCA connectors) to the stock headunit. I'd like to avoid having to place another monitor inside the car, just so I can have a front view of what's in front of the bumper.

After 25 days the Camry illuminated window switch module came in. Less than 5 minutes to remove and replace with the new module but then an unexpected issue came up I couldn’t get it to clip back in after a few tries I put both the factory one and the Camry one side by side and noticed that the Camry one was roughly 1/4” deeper and was hitting the bracket from the door skin that mounts to the door. Was at a loss till I figured if I shave off a bit of the plastic bracket I’d clear it. 1/4” was a piss off anyway decided to do it and finally got it to fit shaving off a bit at a time. My concern was not to screw with the integrity of the bracket I didn’t want a door that rattled. View attachment 301915

Last pic is of the piece I had to modify circled in red.

I think I got the same model as yours. From what I'm seeing on mine, the black fascia piece that they included is crap. Its already loosing the shine and feels rough to the touch. It's also turning white (forgot what people call this ahaha). Definitely reuse the OEM fascia piece as that is built way better (I'm gonna have to cut out the holes on the oem piece and take off my front bumper again..)
