Hello, I have an 07 Camry Hybrid and I replaced the 12v with an Optima 34. I didn't keep the temp sensor.
I'm having trouble looking around finding one. Does anyone know where I can buy the right thing?
Is this part highly specific to the model? Or can I use any universal one so long as it fits?
Any help is greatly appreciate

Thanks for the reply. That is unfortunate.
It threw check hybrid system when the 12v was changed. Was concerned but now just annoyed as it still drives like normal.
Don't really want to pay the dealership a hundred bucks to clear it if it's just going to pop back up without the sensor. Not sure how that works.

Yeah, this is exactly why when changing the battery, backup 12V should be provided. Even if just through a lighter receptacle. Those cars don't really like normal 12V change.
That is actually predicted by Toyota. In manual, it says if error lights appear on the display, to cycle system through 3 complete Start/Shut down cycles, to clear error codes.
So do just that.
Good dealer will clear code for free. No big deal really.

i also am missing the te,p sensor to the battery..if some one can measure one with an ohmeter (out of the curcuit) tell me what temp it was measured at and what the resistance is i can find one that will work.

The previous owner changed batteries and did not move the sensor.
I have been to several junkyards and no batteries to check in car or out since the junkyards remove the batteries and sell them separately or recycle them.
No one on the forum owns an ohmmeter to check the resistance.
I have offered if someone would measure the resistance and tell me the temperature at the time they measured it I would find one and spec it for everyones benefit.

I ordered a suitable replacement thermistor. The part number is 202AT-1. It doesn't include the connector that comes with the factory (Panasonic) battery, so if you don't still have it you'll need to splice it into the wiring for the onboard connector. I'd suggest leaving that connector in place or saving it in case you later decide to use a factory battery. Attach the head of the thermistor to the battery with silicone adhesive then cycle through four start/stop cycles to clear the Check Hybrid System warning. The part costs around $12. Shipping from Australia is another $12, and it takes several days to get to the US. There will also be a small charge, less that a dollar, for a foreign transaction. I wasn't able to find a source for this part in the US, but if you're electronically savvy you might have some luck.
