1989 4X4 Front locking hubs question

I will use my Toyota primarily for hunting this spring with most daily trips being less than 30 miles (dirt, gravel and asphalt roads). I would LIKE to leave the front hubs "locked in 4X4" all day long so I do not have to get out and lock/unlock them numerous times a day/week, but I am not sure the consequences to the front end if I do this.

So here is my question - will it hurt my truck or tear up anything if I do leave the front hubs locked in even though I will be in 2 wheel drive 95% of the time?

Thanks for your advice.

It won't hurt a thing, all 4X4's had the hubs "locked" before manual, and then auto hubs were invented (they used drive flanges).

Your MPG may go down slightly, because there is more turning now, but that's about it.
