I have search entirely and coudnt find anything about the location of reverse light switch of a 1992 pick up 2wd automatic transmission. I have looked at the passenger side of transmission and find a hex nut but there is no wires attached to it or even a connector on the top of the hex nut, I looked at the driver side of the tranny and find something with a single wire attached to it but its not a hex nut, could anyone help me out wheres the location of my back up light switch? need your help please.

It's part of the neutral safety switch. (PNP) switch. This is the part that moves on the side of the trans when going through the gear selection. Usually with a large electrical connector attached to the top.
Are your reverse lights not working? Try giggling the shift lever in R range to try and get them to flicker. If they do, then it's the switch which could be just cleaned and returned to service.

Thanks Tech1984, is this PNP switch the one on the passenger side of the trans or the driver side of the trans? I found one screwed on the driver side of the trans with only one wire attached to it, while the one on the passerger side is also screwed but kinda big and flat with a big connector on top, just want to make sure which one.
