Hello gentlemen,
I am the proud owner of a 1996 T100 with only 220,000 miles. It has been the the most durable and dependable Truck I have ever owned. I have recently needed to replace the power steering metal lines due to a leak in the tubing itself.(no problems).
My only concern with the T100 is the fact that I have no high-beam indicator on the dash. I am told that it is due to the fact that I have installed a pair of LED headlamps, and the dash indicator needs filament bulbs to work. If there is a way around this problem please let me know.
Thank you,
Butch.

The person telling you that the indicator needs to work in order fer the high beams to work is incorrect. Do yer high beams work when you activate them by pushing forward on the stalk? You should be able to test the high beams by pulling back on the stalk (flash mode) and you should see the high beams light up (and probably the high beam indicator). If they do not, there are a few tests you can try. Use a basic 9003 bulb (about $10 at Walmart) and plug it into one of the headlight sockets. Give the stalk a test and see if it lights up. If not, you'll need to inspect yer headlight fuses and relays (located in the engine bay fuse box). Don't just do a visual test of the fuses or relays. Use a multimeter to test the fuses and sockets fer the correct voltages/resistance values. ;)

In some cases, the high beam switch contacts oxidizes and will need to be cleaned (or replaced). It's not an easy task but can be done. ;)
